2022 USDOC Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) Recipient
On September 21, 2022, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Ms. Gina Raimondo from the U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced U.S.-China Environmental Education Foundation (UCEEF) one of six awardees for the 2022 Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP), aimed to promote export sales and generate high quality U.S. jobs for US suppliers of environmental technologies and services (e.g. solid waste classification and recovery, wastewater sludge disposal, and operational carbon reduction) in the China market. 2016 USDOC MDCP Recipient - EnvGuide - Educational and Commercial Platform for Sharing Environmental Information
As an environmental educational platform operated by UCEEF, EnvGuide is supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC), and ASTM. This platform is designed to pass on knowledge and experience of the US environmental industry to commercial leads for both public entities and environmental professionals in China.
Established Environmental Information Commercial Platform
With support from the USDOC, USEPA, ITRC, and ASTM, UCEEF worked as 2016 cooperator of the USDOC Market Development Cooperation Program and developed the EnvGuide platform to help increase exposure for U.S. environmental companies and their products throughout globe.
Translated Industrial SOPs
Hundreds of Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) adopted by American industries, in the environmental sub-sectors were translated and shared among Chinese professionals and policy makers, equipping US environmental products with more competitive edge in the Chinese market.
Supported Millions of Exports Sales
26 million USD export sales were generated as result of UCEEF’s effort to assist US environmental industry.
Organized Training Sessions/Webinars and Conference
Over 7,000 environmental professionals, academic and environmental regulators in China attended training workshops organized by UCEEF. Over 100 conference and meetings were hosted by UCEEF to facilitate the business dialogue between the US and China environmental industry.
